Health Checks/Surveillance
Proactive health ‘surveillance’ helps to ensure your employees remain at peak performance throughout the year. It offers the opportunity to identify any issues or potential issues early on – preventing them from developing into illnesses that could result in costly absences from work.
Surveillance is a mandatory requirement of an employer’s ‘duty of care’ to employees working in higher risk roles such as hazardous substance handling. However, when applied to all staff, it offers significant benefits in preventing sickness and absence.
Assessments
We provide a comprehensive range of health assessments that can be carried out at your premises – in one of our specially-equipped mobile units (see the 3D screening vehicle tour) or in a designated room – or at one of our centres across the UK.

Audiometry tests for those exposed to high levels of noise.
Hand-arm vibration assessments to test for hand-arm vibration syndrome (commonly known as HAVS) for those using hand-held vibrating tools.
Skin assessments for those exposed to skin irritants (e.g. chemicals).
Drug screening.
Advice
In most instances, regular surveillance helps us to spot the early warning signs of health problems and allows us to give practical lifestyle advice that can prevent the issue from developing into an illness.
If an assessment identifies a more serious issue, we will advise the employee on a possible treatment – usually by referring them to one of our specialist occupational health advisors or their own doctor.
